1. Our Services
Declutterella provides professional decluttering, home organisation, and related lifestyle support services, covering homes, offices, and life-transition projects (such as moving house, downsizing, or bereavement support).
The exact scope of your session will be agreed upon during booking.
2. Fees & Payment
- Hourly Rate: £35 per hour (including applicable taxes).
- Minimum Booking: 4 hours (£140).
- Day Rate: £210 for 7 hours (15% discount applied).
- Additional Hours: £25 per hour beyond 7 hours.
- Deposit: £40 (non-refundable, payable to secure your booking).
- Balance: Payable on the day of service by bank transfer or cash.
- Late Payments: Invoices unpaid after 7 days may incur a £25 late-payment fee.
- Waste Disposal: One car load included; additional loads £25 per hour. Council/tip fees are paid by the client.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the booked session will result in the loss of your deposit.
- Sessions may be rescheduled once, provided more than 48 hours’ notice is given.
- Further reschedules may require a new deposit.
4. Waste Disposal
Declutterella is a registered waste carrier (registration pending) with the Environment Agency.
One car load of waste or donations is included; extra loads are charged at £25 per hour.
Any council or tip fees are the client’s responsibility.
5. Handling of Items & Inventory
Declutterella staff will always treat your belongings with care and respect.
However, once you provide consent for items to be moved, organised, or disposed of, any resulting breakages or losses are at your own risk.
Declutterella cannot be held liable for:
- Damage to items or property, regardless of their original condition.
- Items disposed of with your consent.
- Loss of sentimental or financial value for items not separately identified or recorded.
Inventory & Responsibility
We do not provide a written inventory of all items.
You may choose to record short videos or before/after photos (we can assist if you wish).
If you prefer not to record, you accept full responsibility for the outcome.
Our role is to guide you with professionalism and compassion, but the final decisions and responsibility remain with you, the client.
6. Confidentiality
All personal details, household information, and discussions remain strictly confidential.
Declutterella does not share client information with third parties, except as required by law (see Privacy Policy for details).
7. Complaints & Disputes
We always aim to provide a high-quality and respectful service.
If you have any concerns:
- Please raise them during the session or within 7 days after completion.
- Send written details to hello@declutterella.co.uk.
- Declutterella will respond within 14 days.
- After this time, Declutterella cannot accept complaints.
All related photos or video records are securely deleted after 30 days unless otherwise agreed.
8. Photo & Video Consent (Promotional Use)
Declutterella may, with your written or verbal consent, take before-and-after photos or short videos for its portfolio, website, or social media.
Identifiable details (faces, addresses, documents) will never be shared.
You may withdraw consent at any time.
9. Insurance & Liability
Declutterella holds Public Liability Insurance.
While every effort is made to work carefully and safely, Declutterella will not be liable for:
- Loss or damage to items already fragile, faulty, or not properly declared.
- Any consequential loss, emotional distress, or indirect damages.
If an incident occurs, please notify us immediately during the session so it can be properly documented.
10. Data Protection
Declutterella complies with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Personal data collected during bookings will be used only for legitimate business purposes.

11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by UK law.
Any disputes will be handled under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Agreement
By booking a service with Declutterella (whether online, by phone, or in writing), you confirm that you:
- Have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions; and
- Understand your responsibilities regarding your belongings and payments.
